Root resection: how it works

The main stages of the procedure:

• cutting off the infected part of the root;
• retrograde root canal filling;
• suturing;
• stitches are removed after a week.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The doctor makes a gum incision through which the damaged root is cut off. Retrograde filling of the root canal is performed from the side of the tooth root, which accelerates tissue regeneration. The incision is sutured.
